22 Central Texas Students Receive Combined $35,500 in Annual Scholarships

The Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR) Foundation is pleased to announce its 2015 scholarship recipients. After reviewing more than 100 applications, the Foundation awarded 22 Central Texas high school seniors and university students with a total of $35,500 in scholarships.

“Each year we award outstanding students who have displayed a dedication to empowering not only their future, but the future of the Central Texas Community as well,” said ABoR Foundation Chair Michael DaSilva. “The ABoR Foundation is proud to invest in these individuals for their excellence in academics and their commitment to improving their local communities.”

This is one of the most successful years in the Foundation’s 37-year history. This year, the ABoR Foundation awarded nine students with $2,500 scholarships and 13 with $1,000 scholarships. Congratulations to the following students:

  • Drew Salinas – Burnet High School
  • Hayley Mathues – Leander High School
  • Magdalena Montez – Cedar Park High School
  • Morgan Seekatz – Bastrop High School
  • Sarah Bloodworth – Cedar Creek High School
  • Tyler Anderson – Lake Travis High School
  • Whitney Wood – Texas State University

$1,000 Award Winners

  • Amanda Dale – Elgin High School
  • Andrea Barrick – The University of Texas at Austin
  • Ashley Ahlhorn – Bastrop High School
