2018 Officers

President
Steve Crorey

Steve has been a Broker/REALTOR® and member of the Austin Board of REALTORS® since 1989. Throughout his time at ABoR, he has served on several committees and task forces, including Professional Standards (2013 Chair), Community Relations (2014 Chair), Bylaws, Grievance, Investment and Scholarship. Currently, Steve is the 2016 Past-Chair of the Budget & Audit Committees, and the 2016 Past-Chairman of the ABoR Foundation (ABoR’s Philanthropic Arm). Steve is active at the State level by serving on TAR's Professional Standards & Development Committees with duties including Ethics hearing panelist, current TAR certified Mediator, and Ombudsman. Steve remains an active TREPAC major investor and believes in its' fundamental goals and purpose.

Steve has received both an undergraduate (BBA-Finance) and graduate (MS-Psychology) degrees from Southwest Texas State. He graduated from the Texas REALTOR® Leadership Program (TRLP) in 2013 to enhance his leadership skills. In addition to his service with ABoR, Steve finds personal balance and feels that it is an important responsibility to volunteer for several community non-profits. He is an active volunteer for Meals on Wheels (weekly since 1993), Habitat for Humanity (since 2007) & advocates for the homeless every chance he gets.  Steve is the 2012 recipient of ABoR's Community Service Award and recently the Texas Association of REALTORS® 2016 Texas Hero Award.

Outside of the above, Steve’s hobbies and passions include home renovation and construction projects, cycling (road & mountain), adventure travel & hiking, deep dive scuba, and trips to the coast with his dogs Abby & Meadow. He recently purchased his first RV & travels to State Parks and surrounding States in his spare time to enjoy all that nature has to offer.

President Elect
Jason Peebles

Jason began investing in Real Estate well before he became a REALTOR® and has purchased both multi-family and single-family homes. His experience as a consumer investor has helped him as a REALTOR® in dealing with investor clients and individuals wanting to take that first step into investing in real estate. Jason is the Principal Broker and owner of J Stafford Group, an Austin, TX based Real Estate firm.

Jason graduated from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. He then attended Graduate school at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. Jason is a graduate of the Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) and the Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program (TRLP). Jason possesses the e-PRO® certification, the Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) certification, the Pricing Strategy Adviser (PSA) certification, the Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) designation, the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation, as well as the Texas Affordable Housing Specialist (TAHS) designation. He is also a certified Texas Real Estate Commission and Texas Association of REALTORS® instructor.

Jason has served on numerous ABoR committees including Education, Community Relations, Grievance, Professional Development, Professional Standards, Bylaws & Policy Governance (Vice Chair 2015 & Chair 2016) and Committee Council (Chair 2016). Jason is currently the 2017 Chair of both the Budget and Audit Committees, and is a sitting Director for Region 15 at the Texas Association of REALTORS®. Additionally, Jason has served on the MLS/Technology, Nominating and Professional Standards Committees at the Texas Association of REALTORS®. Jason supports philanthropic initiatives and served as a Director of the ABoR Foundation in 2015 and 2016.

Jason is a proud Veteran of the United States Army and has assisted several Veterans with the purchase and sale of their homes. When not practicing Real Estate, Jason can be found enjoying his biggest hobby: Traveling. Having lived in Europe for three years, he was afforded the opportunity to travel extensively throughout Europe, as well as Northern Africa, South Africa, and Central and South America.

Brandy Guthrie

Brandy, an Austin native, has been involved in real estate since 2001. She joined the Austin Board of REALTORS® in 2005, and since then has been a dedicated volunteer, serving members of our Association. In addition to her role as a Director since 2013, she has served on several committees and task forces, which include Legislative Management Team, Political Advocacy, Professional Standards, Grievance, ACTRIS Advisory Committee, Community Relations, Policy Governance, and Strategic Planning. Brandy is currently serving on the state level as our region’s Political Involvement Council and on the Infrastructure and Utilities Subcommittee.

Brandy is a graduate of the Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program (TRLP), and earned the Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) and GREEN designations. She holds certifications in Texas Affordable Housing Specialist (TAHS) and Shortsale Foreclosure Resource (SFR). She has also learned from her varying roles within the real estate industry. Her experience includes management, running a sales team, and operating independently.

Through her involvement with the Austin Board of REALTORS®, she is focused on the importance of the members and making sure the work she does directly correlates with their needs and desires.

Kevin Scanlan

Kevin has been active with the Austin Board of REALTORS® since 2006 when he served as an ACTRIS Director and also as Chair in 2009.  He has served on many committees in the span of a decade including Bylaws, Investment, and Audit, and has provided services in work groups such as RPR Focus Group, Board of Director Policy Work Group, Fusion/MLS Task Force, and Strategic Planning.

Kevin received a BA in Biology from the University of Texas and has been a licensed REALTOR® since 2000.  Kevin is a broker and the owner of All City Real Estate, the fastest growing brokerage in Texas.  In his free time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his two boys, Joseph and Jake.  He also loves to play softball, basketball, and golf.

2018 DIRECTORS

Theresa Bastian

Theresa has been a REALTOR® for sixteen years, currently serving as Vice Chair of the 2017 Bylaws and Policy Governance committee, and as a member of the Budget Committee. Previously, Theresa was a franchise holder of two Keller Williams offices in Washington State and a member of the Pierce County Association of REALTORS®. Theresa now owns and operates Let’s Move Austin, a small independent brokerage. She holds the e-PRO and the RENE designations and has been recognized as an Austin Platinum Top 50 Finalist. Theresa developed her leadership skills through Stephen Covey’s training and was chosen as a Teacher Leader in her district while she was a high school teacher many years ago. She has also participated in the Texas PTA leadership training.

In her spare time, Theresa loves traveling, paddle boarding and reading. In addition to having two high school students, she is very involved with school advocacy and has served on several AISD committees and as PTA President for two different schools.

Lynda Conway

Lynda has been a REALTOR® and ABoR member for 21 years, holding numerous positions on Committees and Task Forces. She currently serves on the MLS Advisory Committee and Professional Development Committee, and has previously chaired the Professional Standards Committee, Grievance Committee, and ABoR’s AISD Task Force. Lynda also served as Vice Chair of the MLS Operations Committee in 2016 and as Dean of ABoR’s Leadership Academy in 2012.

In addition to her Association work, Lynda holds designations as an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Advanced Home Marketing Specialist (AHMS), Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI), Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR), and Seniors’ Real Estate Specialist (SRES). Lynda is a previous TREC Instructor and has coached and mentored others in the profession for over 19 years. She has been awarded ABoR Salesperson of the Year (2002), ABoR REALTOR® of the Year (2008), and ABoR Chairman Special Recognition Award (2005 and 2006).

In her spare time, Lynda enjoys cooking, writing, cross stitching and public speaking.

Ashley Holmes-Jackson

Ashley has been a REALTOR® member since 2012 and is very active at the Association level. She has served as Chair of the Legislative Management Team (2016-2017), Chair of the Growth and Development Committee (2014-2015), Vice Chair of the Legislative Management Team (2015-2016), and she was a member of the AISD Task Force (2015-2016). Ashley has called Austin home since 1983. Her strong interest in local politics has driven her participation at the neighborhood level by serving as an Austin Neighborhood Council representative, volunteering as a campaign manager for a city council candidate, and currently serving on the Building and Standards Commission.

Ashley holds a Master of Liberal Arts and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Edward’s University. She has held a variety of leadership roles including neighborhood president, software project manager, and managing partner at Jackson Hayes Residential LLC. Ashley’s hobbies include crocheting, gardening, and following local politics. Ashley is a progressive minded REALTOR® that prides herself on boiling issues down to an emotional level, inspiring others, listening, and being action-oriented.

Valorie Doyle

Valorie has been an active, licensed, REALTOR® for the past seven years. She has increasingly sought involvement at ABoR, starting out as a student participating in ABoR sponsored classes to eventually serving on the Community Relations Committee. After completing ABoR’s Texas REALTOR® Leadership Program (TRLP), Valorie served as Director, and now Chair, of the ABoR Foundation. Valorie is the 2016 Austin Board of REALTORS® Community Service industry awards winner.

Valorie holds a BA in Organizational Leadership from St. Edward’s University and holds designations as an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI), Seniors’ Real Estate Specialist (SRES), Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE), and as a Seller Representative Specialist (SRS).

Outside of Association activities, Valorie is a kitchen team leader at Open Door, a Saturday brunch program serving the area homeless population. She is also a member of Hill Country Outdoors, a hiking and social club, and enjoys playing tennis, cooking and traveling.

Bill Morris

Bill has been a REALTOR® since 2003, earning his ABR®, CRS, CDPE®, ePRO®, GREEN and BPOR designations along the way.  His formal education includes a MBA in Business Management which he earned in 1985, and he has completed the Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program (TRLP).

Bill has been active at ABoR for years, serving on ABoR’s Grievance, Professional Standards, Government Affairs, TREPAC, Education, and Professional Development Committees.  He currently serves on ABoR’s Legislative Management Team (which he chaired in 2015), the MLS Advisory Committee, and the Budget Committee, and he chairs the Growth & Development Policy Team, focusing on CodeNEXT - the development and adoption of a new land development code by the City of Austin. Bill is active at the state level by serving as a TAR Director and a member of TAR’s Professional Standards Committee.

Outside his real estate industry commitments, Bill is a Director for the Central Texas Water Coalition and is a delegate to the Texas Leadership Roundtable. In the community, he has found rewarding opportunities by serving on his HOA, two years as President, as well as the Architectural Control Committee.  He also spent six years as a volunteer “Lake Leader” for Keep Austin Beautiful, leading six cleanups per year on Lady Bird Lake, and he served on the Executive Committee for the Central Texas Chapter of Surfrider Foundation, an international non-profit corporation working to protect clean and healthy beaches and coastal waters.  In his limited time for hobbies, he enjoys running, biking, and surfing, as well as reading.
