Working for You
Founded in 1926, the Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR) has learned from
and worked with thousands of REALTOR® members to provide the best business
resources available. From our charter membership, ABoR has grown to an active
membership of more than 9,500. ABoR consistently supports Central Texas real estate
professionals with outstanding legislative representation, educational offerings, industry related
products and networking opportunities without regularly increasing member dues.
Our Multiple Listing Service (MLS), which is one of the organization's most significant
membership tools, was initiated as an ABoR function in 1952. Today, the integrity of the
MLS content is managed by the Austin/Central Texas Realty Information Service
(ACTRIS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of ABoR. ABoR also promotes property listings
and REALTORS® to consumers via Austinhomesearch. Established in 1998, this
consumer Web site allows homebuyers the opportunity to search for properties and
REALTORS® in the Austin area.
