ABoR Foundation Gives Away New Mercedes-Benz to Raise Funds for Scholarships
The Austin Board of REALTORS® Foundation hosted the Mercedes & Martini’s Raffle event on June 10 at the Domain II, where it gave away the coveted Mercedes-Benz grand prize to the lucky winner Melanie Kennemann of Keller Williams Realty. Congratulations Melanie!
Kennemann walked away with a brand new Mercedes-Benz, a trip to Germany and Austria, a tour of the Mercedes-Benz factory and the opportunity to participate in a self guided auto rally.
The Foundation sold 940-$100 raffle tickets, raising over $40,000! Over 175 people attended the raffle drawing. The event proceeds benefited the ABoR Foundation’s scholarship fund, which is distributed yearly to worthy Central Texas high school students. ABoR thanks each one of the raffle participants for your charitable contribution to the Foundation.

2011 Austin Board of REALTORS® Foundation Scholarship Recipients Announced
The following qualified high school seniors were selected to receive $2,000 scholarships for the 2011-2012 school year: The Austin Real Pros Scholarship to Felipe Anaya-Hernandez of Eastside Memorial High School; The A.E. Glass, Jr. Scholarship to Emily Brown of Cedar Park High School; The John Horton Realty Scholarship to Angela Bumstead of Lake Travis High School; The Dee Shultz Scholarship to Zachary Denton of LBJ Johnson City High School; The Carol Dochen Scholarship to Jessica Herrin of Elgin High School; The David McMillan Scholarship to Austin Hestdalen of Bastrop High School; The Belvedere Development LLC Scholarship to Ashley Kannegieser of Marble Falls High School; The Warren Marshall Scholarship to Jarret Miller of Thrall High School; The Courtyards at Onion Creek Scholarship to Annaliese Reedholm of Georgetown High School; The John Siemering Scholarship to Preston Salzman of Cedar Park High School; The Carol Parker Scholarship to Nina Tran of John Connolly High School; The Anderson Family Scholarship to Bridget Uribe of Anderson High School; The Kathryn Scarborough-Bechtol Scholarship to Brendan Flores of McNeil High School; and The Malcolm Brian Hardee Memorial Scholarship to Wesley Dale Powell of Stoney Point High School.

The Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR) Foundation and Austin’s Young Real Estate Professionals (AYREP) are teaming up to kick off the Foundation’s 2011 Mercedes-Benz Raffle on Thursday, February 10 at the Hyatt Regency Austin, located downtown at 208 Barton Springs. The kick off celebration will take place from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., following the Xplode Technology Conference.
The ABoR Foundation will raffle off a brand-new Mercedes-Benz C-300 in 2011. Be the first to get your raffle ticket at this party. Better yet, for this night only, the ABoR Foundation will be selling three raffle tickets for the price of two. Raffle tickets cost $100 each, and only 1,500 tickets total will be sold. Benefits from the Mercedes-Benz raffle will go towards the ABoR Foundation’s Scholarship Fund, a nonprofit which raises funds to support further education for high school graduates in Central Texas.
Reserve your $10 ticket for the kick off happy hour event and get the chance to win some great door prizes provided by the ABoR Foundation and AYREP. Self-parking is available for $5 and valet parking for $18.

Make a Difference: Bring Your Coats for Kids
Just in time for winter, the ABoR Foundation and Education Committee will host a “Coats for Kids” drive November 29 − December 1 to help children in the community who are in need. Individuals are encouraged to bring gently-used or new coats and/or cash donations to ABoR’s Education Department from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on these dates. Education committee members and Friends of the Foundation will be at ABoR during this time to help you unload coats from your vehicles. If you would like coats to be picked up at your real estate office, contact ABoR’s Education Department at 512-454-7636. Once collected, the Friends of the Foundation will deliver the coats to Austin’s Junior League who will then clean, sort and distribute coats to the community. Thank you for your generous support of this endeavor.

The Austin Board of REALTORS®' (ABoR) Foundation is excited to present "Music Fest," featuring Austin's own Duck Soup on October 7 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Mueller Browning Hangar, located near 4550 Mueller Blvd. The Music Fest will raise money to support the ABoR Foundation's Scholarship Fund. The event is being hosted in conjunction with Mueller and our many generous sponsors. |
