ABoR Accepting Applications for 2009 ACTRIS MLS Leadership

The Austin Board of REALTORS® is looking within its membership for candidates to fill two (2) soon-to-be-vacated seats on the ACTRIS Board. Each position carries a three (3) year term, which begins in January 2009.


The ACTRIS board governs the rules and regulations of the Austin Central Texas Realty Information Service MLS.


ACTRIS Directors are required to attend all regularly scheduled board meetings, which are typically held once a month.


Applicants, in accordance with the ACTRIS bylaws, must be Realtor® members for at least three (3) consecutive years.


If you or someone you know meets these requirements and would like to apply please do so by September 30, 2008. No applications will be accepted after that date. To access the application, click here.


Calling all Committee Volunteers!

ABOR is accepting requests for 2009 committee assignments until August 31. Click here for a nomination form. Interested members should click here to review the list of committees. Even members currently acting on a committee must complete the nomination form to be placed on a 2009 committee. All committee members must have valid e-mail addresses. Last Call for TREPAC Wine Tasting at Crú

The annual TREPAC Wine Tasting and Silent Auction is fast approaching. Don’t miss your chance to sample great wines and support your industry on Thursday, August 21. CCIM Members: Apply for a Scholarship Today

CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) Central Texas is offering two scholarships for the CI-101 course. Valued at $1090 each, these scholarships are only open to current CCIM members and may be used at any course location. Applications must be received by September 15, 2008 and are available here.


The CI-101 course reviews investment fundamentals and teaches students to make informed decisions by determining investment value, measuring investment performance, comprehending tax implications and mastering the Real Estate Cash Flow model.
