FDIC Updates Coverage Policies

In the wake of the national economic crisis, the Federal Deposit Insurance Company (FDIC) has altered several of its insurance policies. REALTORS® will be particularly affected by changes to insurance coverage for escrow accounts, personal accounts and business accounts. To assist agents in understanding the new FDIC regulations, the National Association of REALTORS® has created a special FDIC fact sheet, available online. 2009 TREPAC Fundraising Calendar Announced

Looking for a new way to have fun while investing in the Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee (TREPAC)? Throughout 2009, ABoR’s Government and Community Affairs Department will host a number of exciting events that will give you the chance to mingle with your fellow ABoR members while ensuring your industry is protected in the upcoming Texas Legislative session.

On February 11, trade in your old jewelry for cash at the Gold Rush party. Bring your appetite and your best chili recipe to the second-annual Chili Cook-Off in March, and tee up for the popular Golf Tournament in April. Pour on your support for TREPAC in August at the Wine Tasting and Silent Auction, and tune in for the Rock the PAC concert in September.
