Austin REALTORS® Helping Move the Vote
On January 7, over 30 ABoR members became deputy registrars for the
Travis County Tax Assessor’s Office. Deputy registrars are empowered to accept completed
voter registration applications, expediting the registration process.
As part of the “Move the Vote” campaign, REALTORS® are invited to assist new homeowners in updating their
voter registration. The partnership between the Austin Board of REALTORS® and the Tax Assessor’s Office is
aimed at improving voter registration in Travis County. This is an especially crucial time as the deadline
to register to vote in the March Primary Elections is February 4, 2008. Are you interested
in becoming a deputy registrar? Contact the ABoR Government and Community Affairs Department.
