2009 Hill Visit Scheduled for March

Take a stand for your industry – join ABoR at the Texas Capitol on Tuesday, March 31 for our biennial Hill Visit. REALTORS® from across the state will unite to share their views on issues affecting private property rights and the real estate industry with their elected officials.

 

The Government and Community Affairs Department will be hosting two Hill Visit training sessions on Tuesday, March 17 at 9:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. These sessions will cover what to expect when visiting the Texas Capitol, how to effectively communicate with lawmakers and where ABoR stands on the important issues. On the day of the visit, attendees are encouraged to meet at the ABoR offices, located at 10900 Stonelake Blvd., and take a chartered bus to the Capitol at 8 a.m. The bus will return to the ABoR offices at 4 p.m.

 

Members interested in attending the Hill Visit must contact the Government and Community Affairs Department at 512/454-7636 no later than March 13 .

 

ABoR Foundation Hosts Mueller Development Property Tour

Discover the Mueller Development through the ABoR Foundation’s property tour on Wednesday, March 25. The event, which lasts from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., includes a tour of model homes, lunch at Mueller Center and an address by Austin Mayor Will Wynn. Chartered buses will pick up attendees at 11 a.m. in the Mueller Development retail center, located at the intersection of 51st and Barbara Jordan, Austin, Texas 78723.
