"TRUTH IN ADVERTISING" COURSE TO DEBUT
AT REALTY ROUND UP FOR REDUCED PRICE

August 9, 2005 - Realty Round Up, the Austin Board of REALTORS®' annual trade show, will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2005, at the Austin Convention Center. During the show, ABoR will offer a special "Truth in Advertising" course, taught by REALTOR® Lynda Conway. The class will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. and bears three hours of Mandatory Continuing Education (MCE) credit. REALTORS® must complete 15 hours of MCE credit every two years to maintain their licenses.

"Truth in Advertising" covers the various semantic ambiguities that cause problems for REALTORS® when promoting a property. Taking into account ethical, legal and decency issues, this course will help unwitting agents avoid precarious advertising practices. By adhering to strict standards of honesty, listing agents will consequently improve their reputations and bolster their brands in the community.
