ABoR Launches New Course, "Caught on Camera"

May 19, 2005 - In our personal and professional lives, we all make mistakes. As a REALTOR®, you have to be especially cautious. One mistake can cause you to lose not only a sale, but also your license. At ABoR, we realize that no one is infallible. Obstacles inevitably present themselves. Still, we strive to protect our members by helping them remain well-informed. That's why we've created "Caught on Camera," a new course designed to educate real estate professionals about the proper legal and ethical ways to conduct their businesses.

If you've ever said too much to a client - or not said enough - and lived to regret it, "Caught on Camera" is perfect for you. This four-hour class, offered on August 25 and September 12, uses actual footage of problematic transactions to supplement discussion of anti-trust laws as they apply to the NAR Code of Ethics. Cost is $36 for members, $44 for non-members, to be paid in full before the class meeting. A $10 fee will be added to all at-the-door registrations.

In addition to "Camera," ABoR is happy to announce the launch of "Take Your Business Etiquette to the Next Level," a course that helps REALTORS® build comfortable, professional relationships with clients.

The Austin Board of REALTORS® is a non-profit, voluntary organization representing more than 6,000 licensed REALTORS® in Central Texas. For further information, contact Sally Yaryan at 512/454-7636 ext. 1600.
