ABoR UNVEILS PROFESSIONAL EXCELLENCE SERIES

November 29, 2005 - As the Austin-area real estate market continues to grow, competitive agents will want to ensure they project a heightened level of professionalism. The Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR) and instructor Marcie Roggow have developed a six-course certificate program - the Professional Excellence Series - aimed at real estate professionals looking to distinguish themselves and fortify their reputations. ABoR Director of Professional Development and Education Sally Yaryan explains, "The Professional Excellence Series can be used as a risk management tool. Learning to avoid potentially offensive business practices can help agents build and maintain solid reputations."

The first three classes in the series - "Personal Skills for Professional Excellence," "Meeting the Expectations of the Buyer" and "Global Protocol" - will be offered respectively on December 13, 14 and 15. Course descriptions and pricing follow.

"Personal Skills for Professional Excellence" provides a broad overview of basic business etiquette and will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on December 13. This course costs $98.

"Meeting the Expectations of the Buyer" uses buyer surveys from across the nation to illustrate how REALTORS® can better satisfy clients' needs. The course is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on December 14 and costs $84.

"Global Protocol" familiarizes REALTORS® with culturally divergent business practices. Offered from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on December 15, this course costs $84.

Space is limited, so register soon at Abor.com. The final three courses in the series will be offered in 2006.

The Austin Board of REALTORS® is a non-profit, voluntary organization representing more than 6,500 licensed REALTORS® in Central Texas. For further information, contact Sally Yaryan at 512/454-7636, ext. 1600.
