John Rosshirt Named 2006 ABoR Chairman

The Austin Board of REALTORS® is pleased to announce John Rosshirt as the next Chairman of the ABoR Board of Directors. Along with the other new and continuing directors, Rosshirt will be formally sworn in at the annual Installation and Awards Party, being held this year on December 2 at the Renaissance Hotel in the Arboretum. His term begins on January 1, 2005.
For the past 15 years, Rosshirt has been an active member of ABoR. Currently a vice president and part owner of Stanberry & Associates, he received his BA from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. Rosshirt has accumulated an impressive roster of professional designations, including the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), the Graduate REALTOR®Institute (GRI) and the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designations. He was named ABoR Salesperson of the Year in 2000.
In 2001 and 2003, Rosshirt served as chairman of the Austin/Central Texas Multiple Listing Service (ACTRIS) Board. Over the years, he has also served on the Professional Standards, Education, Equal Opportunity and Grievance Committees. As Chairman of the Board, Rosshirt hopes to focus more attention on the ABoR Foundation, which provides 10 scholarships annually to local high school graduates.
Rosshirt lives in Southwest Austin with his wife, Sharon, and four sons.
