ABoR Offers Course to Explain Form Changes

2 August 2006 - The Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR) Risk Management Task Force has revised three forms: the ACTRIS Listing Agreement, the ABoR Buyer's Representative Agreement and the ABoR Seller's Disclosure Form. The task force made the changes to address several industry developments, including evolving business practices and alterations to the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. The revised forms are designed to be more usable and accessible.

ABoR is offering a three-hour Mandatory Continuing Education (MCE) course for all members who are interested in a comprehensive review of the forms. The $15 course will be offered on the following dates:

• Wednesday, August 9: 1:30 to 4:30 p.m
  
  
• Friday, August 11: 1:30 to 4:30 p.m
  
  
• Monday, August 14: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  
  
• Tuesday, August 15: 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
  
  
• Friday, August 18: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Instructor Gordon Gorychka will teach the sessions on August 9-14, and Lynda Conway will teach the sessions on August 15 and 18. To register, call the ABoR Education Department at 512/454-7636. The $15 fee is due at the time of registration, and no refunds will be issued for cancellations.
