FEBRUARY HOME SALES REFLECT CONTINUED GROWTH
Experiencing a 1 percent increase from last February, single-family home sales totaled 1,714. The sales contributed $400,330,410 to the local economy, reflecting a 5 percent improvement from 2006. Additionally, single-family homes earned a median price of $176,000, demonstrating a 4 percent increase from last year. While sales continued to rise, the number of active single-family listings was 7,212, a 2 percent decrease from 2006. These properties remained on the market for 4 percent less time than they did last year, averaging only 68 days.
Also experiencing significant numbers, townhouse/condominium properties earned a median price of $174,250, a 20 percent increase from 2006, while contributing $33,988,388 in aggregate sales, 13 percent more than last year.
