REALTOR® ASSOCIATION SEEKS 2007 MOST WORTHY CITIZEN

February 15, 2007 - The Austin Board of REALTORS® is currently seeking nominations for its annual Most Worthy Citizen (MWC) award. This prestigious honor has been presented to one deserving member of the Austin-area community since 1949. Past recipients include Joe T. Jerkins, Margaret C. Berry, Neal Spelce, Alfred A. King, Dr. Patricia Hayes, Cactus Pryor, and Ada Collins Anderson.

ABoR is asking members of the community to nominate individuals within the Austin community who consistently and actively dedicate themselves to others' welfare. The award recognizes individuals for their contributions to the needy, aged, children, and the arts, among other notable causes. Nomination forms, available online and in the ABoR office, must be submitted by Friday, March 9, 2007 to the Austin Board of REALTORS®, 10900 Stonelake Blvd., Suite 100, Austin, TX 78759. Letters of support are welcomed.

The recipient of this year's MWC award will be honored at a luncheon on Friday, April 20, 2007, at the Renaissance Austin Hotel in the Arboretum. In addition, ABoR will donate $500 to the winner's non-profit organization of choice. REALTORS® are not eligible for this award.
