Austinhomesearch.com Gets Upgrade
July 30, 2007 - Homebuyers seeking properties in Central Texas will see a new face on the
Austinhomesearch.com Web site this summer. The popular no-obligation home search site will debut a
new look and upgraded features on August 1, 2007.
The comprehensive online property search tool was launched in 1996 by the Austin Board of
REALTORS® (ABoR) to promote property listings to consumers seeking homes.
A recent study commissioned by ABoR found that nearly 70% of homebuyers and sellers sampled
were familiar with Austinhomesearch.com. The site draws 70,000 unique visitors per month and
an average of 10,000 visits per day.
"Austinhomesearch.com is a leading resource for home buyers in the Austin area, and we are
proud to offer improved functionality and tools," said David M. Foster,
president and CEO of the Austin Board of REALTORS®.
New tools that home seekers will find on the ABoR sponsored Web site include a
mortgage calculator, maps and functions for locating REALTORS®.
Austinhomesearch.com features residential, lease, multi-family, lot and farm and ranch
properties available throughout Central Texas. The site also brings consumers information
on the local housing market, tips for buying and a search feature for open houses.
Visitors are not required to register or pay to access the home search site, which is updated daily.
The Austin Board of REALTORS® is a non-profit, voluntary organization
representing more than 8,500 licensed REALTORS® in Central Texas.
