Home From Work: New Class Offered by Austin Board of REALTORS®
April 11, 2008 - The Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR) will offer a Home From Work class
on Monday, June 23, as an opportunity for members to learn how to effectively promote workforce
housing initiatives at the grassroots level. The class will be held from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
in the ABoR Auditorium, with a Train the Trainer session to follow for those wishing to become a
Home From Work certified instructor.
Designed by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and premiering in Texas, Home
From Work provides REALTORS® the tools to reach out to public- and private-sector employers
and help establish an employer-assisted housing (EAH) benefit. The class includes information on
the benefits of EAH, how to advocate expanded housing opportunities and how to work with
lenders to access flexible financing.
