ABoR Calls Members to Nominate Colleagues for Industry Awards
July 23, 2008 - Each year the Austin Board of REALTORSŪ (ABoR) recognizes six distinguished
members who have gone beyond the call of duty to serve their clients, industry and community.
ABoR encourages members to submit nominations for each of the awards listed below by visiting
www.abor.com/events/forms/indy_awards_form.cfm or using the nomination form in the August
issue of Austin REALTORŪ. Deadline for nomination is Monday, September 8.
REALTORŪ of the Year: An award bestowed on an ABoR member who has worked tirelessly on
the local, state and national levels to improve the real estate profession. The sitting ABoR Chairman
of the Board is ineligible for this award.
Affiliate of the Year: An award presented to an ABoR affiliate member who has been a proactive
business partner to the association and a leader in the Austin community.
REALTORŪ Community Service Award: An award given to an ABoR member who has actively
improved the Austin-area community through a commitment to volunteer service.
Salesperson of the Year: An award recognizing an ABoR member who has met success in both
personal production and educational pursuits. This honoree has also been active in the local, state
and national REALTORŪ associations.
Rookie of the Year: An award presented to a REALTORŪ with no more than 18 months experience
who has actively participated in ABoR activities and demonstrated success personal producation
and educational achievements.
Cultural Awareness Award: An award given to an ABoR member who has shown a keen interest
in promoting cultural awareness on the local, state and national levels.
