Tickets Now Available for 2009 Housing Forecast
ABoR and HBA of Greater Austin Deliver Comprehensive Economic Update
October 2, 2008 - The Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR), along with the Home Builders
Association (HBA) of Greater Austin will jointly present the 2009 Housing Forecast on Tuesday,
January 6, 2009. The event will be held at the Renaissance Austin Hotel, located at 9721 Arboretum
Blvd., Austin, Texas 78759. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by breakfast at 8:00 a.m.
and a presentation at 8:30 a.m.
The program will feature in-depth analysis of the 2008 local economy and will outline expectations for
2009, setting industry standards for markets including land development, construction supplies and
home sales. This is a “must see” event for those wishing to create an effective 2009 business strategy.
Eldon Rude, director of the Austin Market for MetroStudy, will moderate the program. Rude has
earned a reputation in the real estate industry for thorough analysis and candid insight into factors
impacting housing supply and demand.
Gary Farmer, president of Heritage Title, will deliver a regional perspective on the economic developments
that drive demand for housing. Other top-notch speakers will be on hand to discuss how national
economic forces are affecting the local real estate market. A complete event agenda will be issued
on November 3.
The 2009 Housing Forecast is open only to ABoR and HBA members. Tickets are limited and may be
