2010 Housing Forecast Tickets Now Available

ABoR and HBA of Greater Austin Present Comprehensive Economic Update

September 9, 2009 - Mark your calendars for the 2010 Housing Forecast, to be presented by the Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR) and Home Builders Association (HBA) of Greater Austin on January 13, 2010 at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center at 1900 University Avenue.  Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and the first presentation at 9:00 a.m.

Event attendees will hear an in-depth analysis of the 2009 local economy and expectations for the coming year, which will set industry standards for markets including land development, construction supplies and home sales.  This is a “must see” event for those wishing to create an effective 2010 business strategy.  

Eldon Rude, director of the Austin Market for MetroStudy, will moderate the program and provide the Austin Housing Market Forecast.  Rude has earned a reputation in the real estate industry for thorough analysis and candid insight into factors impacting housing supply and demand.

Economic development will be discussed by Pike Powers of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P.  Powers has played an integral role in the economic development of Central Texas for 30 years and earned the first Austin Business Journal Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions.

Economist Jon Hockenyos will deliver the National Economy Forecast. President of Texas Perspectives, an economic analysis and public policy consulting firm, Hockenyos has served as a resource witness on a variety of issues for city councils, state legislatures and the U.S. Congress.
