ABoR Foundation Scholarship Recipients Selected
Deserving high school seniors receive annual scholarships
May 6, 2010 - The ABoR Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of this year’s scholarships. The Foundation received more than 150 applications from qualified individuals and narrowed down the applicant pool to 10 deserving students, who will each receive a $1,000 scholarship. These individuals have displayed excellence both in academics and in their involvement within their local communities.
The following qualified high school seniors were selected to receive scholarships: Lindsey Braun of Del Valle High School; Britt Brandon of Hyde Park Baptist High School; Lauren Briggs of Marble Falls High School; Katherine Layton of Smithville High School; LaToya Mitchell of Crockett High School; Jessica Stamper of Lago Vista High School; Salvatore Testa of Hendrickson High School; and Abbie Thames of Jack C. Hayes High School. Additionally, Helen Hardy of Georgetown High School was named the recipient of the Malcolm B. Hardee Memorial Scholarship and Wade Johns of Elgin High School was selected to receive the Independence Title Scholarship.
