Austin Board of REALTORS® Announces Endorsements for 2012 Mayoral and City Council Races
AUSTIN, Texas – April 5, 2012– The Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR) announced today its endorsement of the following candidates in the 2012 City of Austin General Election:
Members of ABoR’s Governmental Affairs and Political Action Committees interviewed candidates and reviewed written responses to a questionnaire focused on private property rights, transportation, water supply, energy and affordability and the future of Austin’s economy.
- Mayor – Lee Leffingwell;
- City Council Place 2 – Mike Martinez;
- City Council Place 5 – Bill Spelman; and
- City Council Place 6 – Sheryl Cole.
“We are pleased to endorse the incumbents for Austin Mayor and City Council,” said 2012 ABoR Chairman Leonard Guerrero. “These candidates share ABoR’s vision for the growth and development of Austin.”
