Arbitration Requests and Ethics Compliance

ABoR's Professional Standards and Grievance committees bring members and the public a means of resolving complaints when there has been a violation of the Code of Ethics. To review the processes and guidelines for filing such complaints, see the information below. For more information, please contact Professional Standards.

Arbitration Requests

If a legal dispute arises between members or between members and their clients, ABoR offers an arbitration option that can be used in resolving complaints by members and the public. Our mediation services are a valuable alternative to costly litigation. ABoR's arbitration services help resolve contractual issues and questions that arise between members, between members and their clients, and, in some cases, between parties to a transaction brought about through the efforts of REALTORS®.

Ethics Compliance

ABoR hears complaints from members and the public about possible violations of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics. Penalties for such violations could result in monetary fines, increased eduction requirements or even expulsion of membership.
