If any of these words mean something to you, then the Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program (TRLP) is the right fit for you. TRLP offers participants and graduates an ongoing opportunity to meet other motivated leaders and to share an intensive learning experience that focuses on community issues and leadership skills. 

The program provides participants with lectures, seminars, guest speakers, group discussions, and leadership exercises that address vital issues affecting Texas REALTORS®. This dynamic format stimulates vigorous and animated discussions and involvement by all participants. 

 

As a TRLP participant, you will: 

  • Experience a powerful learning community with the support of other aspiring leaders 
  • Get to hear from inspiring community leaders, government officials, and business executives 
  • Discover how you can contribute to the success of the REALTOR® organization 
  • Develop the skills to make a significant impact in your professional, personal, and civic areas of interest 
  • Earn CE hours 
  • Perfect your speaking and presentation skills 
  • Receive your personalized communication assessment 
  • Build lifelong relationships with colleagues and facilitators 

There are eight modules you must complete, with a required commitment of one day per month. The program kicks off with an overnight retreat at Hyatt Lost Pines. After that, there is a class one day a month, with a TRLP graduation in December. Will you be a Texas REALTOR® future leader?

Any REALTOR® member of the Austin Board of REALTORS® who is in good standing to include up to two affiliate members. Applicants must be a full-time REALTOR® and have been in the business for no less than one year as of April 12, 2024.

The program is an advanced leadership program geared towards those who are interested in developing themselves personally and professionally.

Applications must be submitted by May 8, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Any application received after this date will not be considered for participation.

The purpose of TRLP is to prepare Texas REALTORS® to meet future challenges. The program provides participants with lectures. seminars, guest speakers, group discussions and leadership exercises that address vital issues affecting Texas REALTORS®. The dynamic format stimulates vigorous and animated discussions and involvement by all participants.

All completed applications that are submitted by the deadline will be fully reviewed and processed. Due to space limitations, not all eligible applicants are guaranteed acceptance into the program.

Recommendation letters in support of your applications can be written by anyone you have worked with or for. They must be submitted online via the link on the application form. Letters may be addressed to the attention of Danielle Archambault, Director of Business and Professional Development and delivered to the Austin Board of REALTORS®, via mail at 4800 Spicewood Springs Road, Austin, TX 78759. A minimum of two letters of recommendations are required.

An email acknowledgment will be sent to the address listed in the application to confirm receipt of the submitted form. If it's determined that the application is incomplete or missing some information a second email will be sent.

All applicants will be notified of their status via email or phone by May 17, 2024.

Yes, the fee for the TRLP program is $500. If selected, the fee would be due on or before May 24, 2024.

Yes. To graduate from the Leadership Program, REALTORS® must attend all session and participate in the leadership project. This project will require voluntary time and collaboration outside of the program's monthly sessions. We understand there may be planned or unforeseen circumstances for absences. Please speak to the ABoR Staff Coordinator should you not be able to attend a session.
