The Central Texas housing market is heating up and the same goes for ABoR Foundation activities! Are you or your brokerage looking for a way to give back to your community this spring? Below are three ABoR Foundation activities coming up where you can give back in the Foundation’s core pillars of Education, Housing, and Disaster Relief.
Education: Create a $2,500 ABoR Foundation Scholarship in Your Name
Did you know that you can create an ABoR Foundation scholarship in honor of an individual, business or estate? The ABoR Foundation will match a $1,000 scholarship donation with an additional $1,500 to create a $2,500 scholarship in the name of your choosing!
Will you join the list of individual and corporate donors below who are sending Central Texas students to college this year?

Housing: Volunteer for Rebuilding Together Austin on April 25
The ABoR Foundation is partnering again with Rebuilding Together Austin for a volunteer work day to help a local resident in need.
We’re looking for at least 30 volunteers to join us Wednesday, April 25, in repairing the East Austin home of 85-year-old Lino Martinez and his daughter, Rachel. Volunteers will assist with light carpentry, exterior painting, and landscaping. No experience is required and volunteers should come to the work site with closed toe shoes, comfortable clothing, and (optional) work gloves. Both half (morning/afternoon) and full day shifts available. A volunteer t-shirt, breakfast, and lunch will be provided.

Disaster Relief: Family Eldercare Fan Drive kicks off May 1
The relentless heat of Central Texas summers can lead to life-threatening situations for homebound seniors and adults with disabilities. You can help those in need beat the heat with a simple donation of a 20” box fan or monetary gift as part of Family Eldercare’s Summer Fan Drive.
The 2018 Summer Fan Drive kicks off Tuesday, May 1 and culminates with the Fans From Fans celebration on June 15 at Threadgill’s, which is always a lot of fun! Last year, the ABoR Foundation presented Family Eldercare with a $7,500 check and donated over 100 fans, and we’re hoping to set a new record this year! Will you help us beat the heat?
Acceptable donations include a new 20” box fan or 12” oscillating fan. Monetary contributions will also be accepted (we’ll let you know when a direct donation link is available). REALTORS® can drop off their donations at all three ABoR locations, as well as all nine AMLI residential properties throughout Austin.
Not sure where to purchase a fan? Check out Amazon wish-list!
