Ryan grew up in a small town in Louisiana and moved to Texas when he was 21 years old. His career was sparked when he started his first company with his sister, fellow realtor Dena Davis, at the age of 24, processing siding claims for homeowners. Shortly thereafter, Ryan started his own brokerage and property management company where they sold investment property and managed multi-family and single-family residences. Within 3 years the company grew to include offices and properties in Houston and San Antonio, as well as the existing office in Austin. The management company grew to 500 doors. But growing a business that fast comes with its share of headaches and he quickly realized that property management was not his forte. After several months of cleaning up accounts and setting things straight, Ryan sold the accounts and started Spyglass Realty and Investments.
