Recognizing the best in the real estate business, ABoR is proud to announce the 2016 Industry Award winners. Industry Award winners are annually nominated by their peers and selected based on outstanding contributions to the real estate industry and community, including business accomplishments, association participation, dedication to the community, and education achievements.

2016 Winners

REALTOR® of the Year

Leonard Guerrero, ABR, TRLP, with J.B. Goodwin, REALTORS®

Leonard is a 23-year veteran of the real estate industry and an active real estate agent in the Austin-area market. Guerrero is currently an Assistant Sales Manager with JB Goodwin, REALTORS® in their Northwest Division. Guerrero is an avid volunteer with ABoR, TAR, and NAR. He had the pleasure of serving the membership as ABoR’s Chairman of the Board in 2012.

He is now serving the local and state associations as a Regional Vice President on the State Executive Board. In his free time, he is an active outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping. He is also a “foodie” at heart and enjoys creating challenging dishes for family and friends.

Cord Shiflet with Moreland Properties

For 11 out of the last 13 years, Cord Shiflet has been recognized by the Austin Business Journal as the #1 individual real estate agent in Austin. In addition, he is Moreland Properties top seller for 10 out of the past 11 years. Because of his great work and efforts, he has earned a membership in the Austin Elite 25, an esteemed group of Austin real estate agents who are in the top 1% of their industry.

The key to his success is his quick understanding of the unique needs of each client, whether buyer or seller. His warmth, class, and humor are poured in every aspect of his life. Even with his great work ethic, he finds time to lend a helping hand to the community. He is an active member of ABoR and a board member for March of Dimes and Ballet Austin. He serves as a committee member for ACTRIS and is a past board member for the Austin Boys and Girls Clubs. When he is not busy matching perfect seller with ideal buyer, he spends his time golfing, collecting cars, and spending time with his wife and four children.

Rookie of the Year

Jayna Love with Keller Williams Realty

After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from Texas State University, Jayna went on to work for several top real estate agents managing marketing, copywriting, and social media needs, while simultaneously owning and operating her own small business. She joined the Keller Williams Realty team in 2015 and has been thriving since.

In her first year as a REALTOR®, Love oversaw a city-wide campaign called “Share the Love,” in which she partnered with over 50 local businesses to increase small business support in Buda and Kyle. She has also worked with local elementary school PTA to remodel and improve school libraries and donate new equipment, books, and supplies. Love sits on the Executive Board for her son’s school PTA as the Community Enrichment Chair. She has also closed $9.4 million in real estate in her first 12 months in the business and has helped 33 families turn their real estate dreams into reality.

Jayna lives with her husband, two sons, and dog in Buda where she enjoys boating, writing stories, and decorating her home.

REALTOR® Community Service Award

Valorie Doyle, GRI, ABR, CNE, GREEN, with Coldwell Banker United, REALTORS®

Community Service Award recipient Valorie Doyle of Coldwell Banker United, REALTORS® is the 2017 chairman of the ABoR Foundation and has served on several ABoR committees. Doyle has helped lead multiple Austin Board of REALTORS® community initiatives since becoming a licensed REALTOR® in 2012, including partnerships with Mayor Steve Adler’s office, Rebuilding Together, Family Eldercare and Austin Habitat for Humanity.

Christina Isaac with North American Title

Christina Isaac is a native Texan and relocated to Austin in 2006. With her unique background as a matchmaker for a professional dating service. Isaac feels it plays a huge role in matching REALTORS with the perfect escrow officer on her team.

When Isaac joined ABoR, she quickly got involved with several committees.  She has served on the TREPAC, Realty Round Up, Most Worthy Citizen, Broker and Member Responsibility and Affiliate Committees. She is also involved with WCR and AMBA, and several nonprofits supporting veterans and first responders.
