REALTOR® Safety Training
Taught by: Josiah Scully
September 26 | 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

In honor of REALTOR® Safety Month, the ABoR Academy is bringing you a special course designed to help keep you safe on and off the clock. Being a REALTOR® is a rewarding experience but comes with its risks. You have to meet and spend time with complete strangers for showings and must show case yourself online to people you don't know. You must be present on social media and open house advertisements. Your open houses are just that: open to anyone and everyone. Though this is how you find more clients and close more deals, this is also how you are targeted by predators. Attacks on REALTORS® happen more than you think. Our training is designed to empower you with the skills and knowledge to fight back against fear and safely work out in the field.

Designation Spotlight

Certified International Property Specialist
Although foreigners purchase property nationwide, five states account for 51% of total residential property purchases—and Texas is one of them! In Texas alone, international buyers are pushing $10 billion dollars in home sales and Austin is seeing a huge chunk of that change.

Whether you’ve completed several international real estate transactions in the past or are a veteran with those transaction types, the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation is one you should have under your belt! Noted as the only international designation recognized by NAR, the CIPS designation provides REALTORS® with an expanded knowledge on global business. The goal of the course is to make students aware of how the global economy impacts their local real estate markets and prepares them to serve foreign clients and customers.

Check out the flyer for details on CIPS Week at ABoR and how to register.
