Edie Phillips

Elected Term: 2020-2022

Edie started her career in 2005 when she was employed as a Claims Adjuster at an insurance company. She obtained her real estate license ten years before diving in full-time, and since then her business has flourished. Her motivation to become a REALTOR® was witnessing families being taken advantage of leading up to the 2008 housing crisis. She made a commitment to help others by making sure every transaction for her clients was not only pleasant but transparent. This desire to help people led her to become a Volunteer Home Buyer Education Instructor at Frameworks Community Development Corporation in 2006. In 2019, she became Vice Chair of the organization.

In addition to being an enthusiastic ABoR and Frameworks volunteer, Edie has served as Director of Recruitment for the National Black MBA Association Austin Chapter (2010-2013), is Second Vice President for Austin Area Real Estate Brokers (2020-2021); and is a 2020 Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program (TRLP) Graduate.

Edie’s hobbies include listening to jazz—everything from Coltrane to Kenny G. When she’s not working, she enjoys outdoor activities, such as jet skiing, hiking, and biking—and her favorite indoor activity is rock climbing.
