I’m writing to inform you that Paul Hilgers will be leaving his position as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ABoR, effective December 31, 2017. Mr. Hilgers served this Association with distinction and strong leadership for nearly five years, raising the visibility and impact of ABoR at the local, state, and national level. The Board of Directors wish to thank him for his service.
In his tenure, ABoR moved into a new headquarters, improved its operational capacity, heightened accountability, restructured the ABoR Foundation, and focused on serving its members in new and innovative ways. We have all benefited greatly from his leadership.
Mr. Hilgers shared with me a few comments about this transition, “I have been proud to serve as the CEO of the Austin Board of REALTORS® and will always respect the membership and the work of the volunteer Board of Directors. I am most proud of the staff of ABoR who are all professionals dedicated to serving our members. The Austin Board of REALTORS® is poised to continue to excel in the future and be a leading organization in the real estate industry.”
The Board of Directors is actively preparing for a smooth transition that ensures no disruption to the day-to-day service that you have come to expect, and prepares your Association for an even brighter future. We will look to build on our current successes and position ABoR for a stronger tomorrow.
Brandy Guthrie, 2017 ABoR President
