Data Licensing

Unparalleled Market Data with Superior Data Delivery

Unlock MLS is proud to have a native database mapped to the Real Estate Standards Organization’s (RESO) most modern standard, meaning your MLS system cares about data integrity, innovation, and the development of standards that streamline your business. Whether you’re an agent, broker, or vendor, we’ll work with you to properly license MLS data so you can provide robust services to your clients.

Data Delivery Methods

Our MLS provides MLS Grid, Trestle, and Bridge Interactive as data delivery platforms, delivering data through RETS or a powerful WebAPI. MLS Grid only provides API data delivery. Trestle and Bridge each provide a RETS or API option. All platforms offer IDX and VOW feeds.

Options on how to sign up for a data feed are below. Please note that Unlock MLS uses MLS Grid as an administrative tool, so even if you’re a technology provider, broker, or agent signing up for a Trestle or Bridge feed, you will still need to sign up with MLS Grid to begin the process.

Data Licensing for Vendors

To be considered as a third-party vendor with Unlock MLS, a company must have at least one active Unlock MLS subscriber ready to sign up for their services. If you’re a vendor, register directly on MLS Grid, and staff will reach out to verify your application and provide more information, including pricing. If you have general questions before registering with MLS Grid, please contact mlsdata@abor.com.

Once registered on Grid, you will select the data delivery platform of your choice (MLS GRID, Trestle or Bridge). Steps for setting up an IDX or VOW feed for each of those platforms are listed below.

Data Licensing for Unlock MLS Subscribers

Unlock MLS subscribers have several options for obtaining MLS listing content to build tools and services with an MLS data feed. Whether you want to work with a third-party vendor, start your own in-house feed, or use a simple IDX search module — we’ve got you! If you are working with a third party vendor, they will need to initiate the data license within GRID. If you have a tech contact within your brokerage, have them register directly on MLS Grid to create the data license for you.

  1. Create your MLS Grid account
  2. Once approved within MLS Gird, create an account with Trestle.
  1. Create your MLS Grid account
  2. Once approved within MLS Grid, email mlsdata@abor.com to request an invite to Bridge Interactive (if new to Bridge). If you’re a current Bridge user, you can request an Unlock MLS feed through the Bridge platform, which will be approved as long as you’ve completed the necessary step within MLS Grid.

Photo Licensing for Unlock MLS Photographer Partners

Unlock MLS has created a licensing program to strengthen copyright protections and ensure listing agents have authorization by photographers to upload photos to the MLS. There is no cost for a photographer to join the program, but we encourage Unlock MLS subscribers to educate their agents about the program and to have procedures in place to acquire proper photo licensing.

If you are a photographer who would like to get verified, contact support@abor.com and we'll reach out with more information on the program, including how to join.
