Understanding Older Homes 

This course covers the most common property condition issues associated with older homes, how to recognize potential issues, and whether they can be repaired/replaced. The objective is to educate brokers and agents on these issues, so they can better advise their home buying clients on property conditions, for the protection of home buyers from surprise repair expenses when purchasing a home. Topics covered in this course include old homes exterior surfaces, lots and grounds, roofing, chimneys, foundation and walls, support, garages, electrical and more. The course focuses on property conditions that may be found with older homes by home inspectors, and the protection a home inspection provides to home buyers.
