Event & Class Attendance Policies

ABoR & Unlock MLS Registration and Refund Policy

We encourage you to register for a course at least two (2) days prior to the class date so we can prepare for your participation.

We understand that schedules change, and you may need to cancel a registration. Classes and paid events can be canceled and refunded up to 48 hours before the class / event.

A member cannot transfer their registration to another member for classes or events. You may, however, transfer to a future date the course is being offered at no additional charge, up until the start time for that class.

There are no refunds for no-shows.

If for any reason the class or event is canceled by ABoR, you may receive a full refund or transfer to a new date it is being offered.

ABoR adheres to all educational standards and rules passed down from the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC), the regulating body for all licensed real estate professionals in Texas. All SAE courses at ABoR are approved by TREC.

TREC requires all licensed salespersons to complete eight (8) hours of Legal Update credit with every renewal. This rule applies whether you are completing SAE for your first license renewal or CE credit for any subsequent renewal.

As a reminder, agents may NOT repeat a course with the same course number within a two-year period. Please make sure that you check your TREC profile with the courses you would like to take to avoid duplicating a course.

On-Demand courses are taken online on your schedule. Purchasing an ABoR On-Demand course gives you access to that course for a set period of time. To receive CE credit, you must complete all class modules, in their entirety, prior to the expiration date noted in your purchase confirmation email.

By attending an ABoR On-Air class, the registrant understands that they may be included in a raffle prize drawing provided by the Affiliate member sponsor of the class and the sponsor will be provided their name and email address for such participation.

Classroom Courses: Laptops/tablets are encouraged for all classes. Many of the course materials are provided electronically. Some of the course materials come in PDF form, and you will need to install Acrobat Reader or Microsoft Edge software to open the course materials. Free Wi-Fi is available at all ABoR offices. The course content is extensive, and the course moves along quickly, so the instructor will not be able to assist with technical issues while conducting the course.

Virtual Courses: A webcam is required for all ABoR on Air virtual courses. Some of the course materials come in PDF form, and you will need to install Acrobat Reader or Microsoft Edge software to open the course materials.
