ABoR Names New Executives

The Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR) has promoted two staff members to key executive roles, naming Stan Martin as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Kelea Youngblood as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective November 1, 2018. Martin had served as ABoR’s Multiple Listing Service (MLS) director, and Youngblood was the organization’s director of business and professional development.

“Stan and Kelea are two proven leaders who have been instrumental in advancing our organization, which is made up of 13,000 REALTOR® members and 15,000 MLS subscribers,” Chief Executive Officer Emily Chenevert said. “As ABoR grows, so does the need for a strong executive team. We recently adopted two new strategic plans—one for our Association and one for the MLS—and I look forward to supporting Stan and Kelea as they lead our efforts to focus on the growth and development of each entity.”

Stan Martin named ABoR COO

As COO, Martin will have direct management of ABoR’s MLS—known as ACTRIS (Austin Central Texas Realty Information Service)—as well as the Association’s Information Technology and Member Services departments. Martin will also oversee the implementation of ACTRIS’ first-ever strategic plan. An experienced MLS executive, Martin provides a strong combination of product management and operational expertise and will build on trusted relationships gained with both industry leaders and REALTOR® professionals.

Martin began his career with ABoR in 2003 and has served in multiple roles ranging from data support services to MLS director. For the past 14 years, he’s been instrumental in numerous MLS system conversions and product implementations. Martin is an active leader in the MLS industry, earning the Council of MLS’s CMLX3 Executive Certification. He also serves on the board of directors for MLS Grid, participates in the CoreLogic Advisory Group and is actively working with the Real Estate Standards Organization to provide testing platforms for developers and brokers.

Martin holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from St Edward’s University.

Kelea Youngblood named ABoR CMO

As CMO, Youngblood will provide leadership and oversee management for several departments, including Events and Programming, Professional Development, and Marketing and Communications. She is a professional development expert with extensive experience in curriculum development, higher education programming, as well as marketing and communications strategies.

In 2014, Youngblood joined ABoR’s Business and Professional Development Department as its director. In this role, she transformed the department into a profitable business model and increased outreach efforts to gain and retain affiliate members. Her work has contributed to a 25 percent revenue growth year over year since joining ABoR. Previously, Youngblood served as the marketing director for Champions School of Real Estate and as a broker gaining extensive experience in new home and residential sales.

Youngblood currently serves on the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce’s DTC70 (Direct-to-College Achievement Plan) executive committee and on the Education Advisory Board for the Texas Real Estate Commission. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mass media communications and international affairs from Florida State University.
