Austin and the surrounding Central Texas region offer a wide range of cultural festivals, parades, and events where cultures and experiences have been shaped from around the globe.   • Austin Urban Music Fest | September 3-4, 2022 - For the last 16 years the Urban Music Fest has been rooted mainly in music. This year they'll expand the brand to include Afrocentric aspects of culture to help all better understand how we arrived at our cultural existence. Learn more here.
  • ¡VIVA MEXICO! | September 17, 2022 - Celebrating their Quinceañera this year, the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican-American Cultural Center will host its annual Viva México celebration to showcase visual art, dance, and musical performances that explore Mexico’s history through cultural art traditions.   • Latin Food Festival | September 17, 2022 - The Sazon Latin Food Festival is back and it’s going to be a great time. This free event will have a dozen different Latin food vendors, so you can taste all the best flavors from the Caribbean, Central, and South America.   • American Indian Heritage Day | September 30, 2022 - Join the Bullock Museum, in partnership with Great Promise for American Indians, to celebrate our community's indigenous cultures with its special American Indian Heritage Day program. Learn more here.
  • Deutschen Pfest | October 14-16, 2022 - Pflugerville’s most popular pfestival, the Deutschen Pfest is held every year in Pfluger Park. The pfestival schedule is always bursting with pfun with live music, food, beer, shopping, our Pfun Run, and Community Pfair! For more details click here.
  • Austin Polish Film Festival | October 28-30 & November 4-6 -  This film festival is unique among all the film festivals in Austin not only because it brings Polish feature films, documentaries, shorts, animations, and filmmakers, but it also presents the incredible art of Polish poster and their creators while promoting cooperation between Polish and Austin creative worlds.   • Texas Book Festival | November 5-6, 2022 - The Texas Book Festival has evolved into one of the premier literary events in the country and hosts about 250 authors each year.   • Austin Celtic Festival November 5-6, 2022 - The largest gathering of Celts in Central Texas returns for its 27th Annual Celtic Fest. Driskill Grand Lobby Tree Lighting | December 1, 2022 - Gather at The Driskill hotel and watch as the Grand Lobby tree is lit, accompanied by holiday music and caroling. The historic Driskill hosts holiday events throughout the season, including Victorian holiday teas. Learn more here.

German-Texan Heritage Society Christmas Market | December 3, 2022 - The German-Texan Heritage Society's annual market offers shoppers handmade, imported crafts, decorations, ornaments, and more. Austin's New Year | December 31, 2022 - This alcohol-free, family-friendly event celebrates the diversity and creativity of the city with visual art installations, jugglers, storytellers, fire dancers, and other festive performances. Learn more here.

  • MLK Day Festival | Participate in the Austin-area MLK Day celebrations with The Austin Area Heritage Council. Enjoy a rally and walk starting from the Martin Luther King Jr. statue on the University of Texas campus. For more details click here.
  • Carnaval Brasileiro | February 2023 - Founded in 1975, this Central Texas festival boasts a Brazilian carnival, lifted straight out of Rio, with purely Brazilian music played on Brazilian instruments and sung entirely in Portuguese to celebrate CARNAVAL BRASILEIRO to celebrate the largest carnival celebration outside of Brazil.
